Service Learning

Service learning at Mercer University supports faculty and students in developing course-based initiatives that empower students to affect positive change in local and global communities. Through community outreach, civic engagement, and applied learning, Mercer equips students to become community leaders and global citizens.

No matter what major or career interest a Mercer student is pursuing, in all twelve of Mercer’s schools and colleges, there are service learning classes that can make the learning experience more impactful.  Students can search for service learning courses by consulting the registrar’s website each semester for courses labeled “service learning” or by looking for courses that include the letter “V” in the course section code.
